Julia Barrett

I have been an educator for 23 years. I have taught grades 1st through 6th. I was also an Academic Reading Coach and Academic Program Leader for nine years. I was in and out of some great classrooms. I hope I taught them a few things, and I know I learned a lot from some great teachers as well!

I have a mixture of styles. I do tend to use a great deal of visuals. I also use Whole Brain strategies to help students learn vocabulary and to stay up, moving and talking with their peers. It is good for students to be involved with their learning!

I graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in Education and a minor in Early Childhood. I received my Reading Certificate and Reading Credential from UCLA Extension classes. I have taken hundreds of hours of training in reading and phonics thanks to being a Reading First Coach.

I am a mom of three kiddos and have the best husband in the world. My materials may not always be fancy, but I believe they are extremely useful. Thank you for your purchase.
