I have worked as a school counselor for over 20 years at all levels of education. I got the idea for my first book Some Parts are NOT for Sharing from my middle school students. They were 11 to 14 years, they were all recounting abuse that happened to them from 0 - 8 years. I thought is no one talking to the little people? They are not. My book is one of the only books out there talking to very young children about child abuse. From there I went on to write about domestic violence, school violence, friendship and race relations. It has been a very fun ride, prevention is so much more fun than radiation.
