Most recently I have been a Long-Term Substitute Teacher in Common Core Algebra I. During this position, I assumed all the responsibilities of a teacher on medical leave including regents preparation. At multiple schools I have served as a substitute teacher for grades Knd - 12th with a primary focus in mathematics. I have also been a proctor for New York State Regents Exams. In many instances I have had the incredible opportunities to tutor. One tutoring position I held was to educate a high school student with medical issues in all subject areas to graduate. I have also tutored at a student support service center at a local college where I aided in educating students with disabilities or from low income families and provided walk in tutoring for groups of 5 to 15 students, fields including: algebra, pre-calculus, business calculus, calculus I & II. One of my tutoring experiences I assisted in educating a high school student in Common Core Geometry & Algebra II. I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to be a Teacher Assistant for Calculus II. During this experience I helped educate the students participating in the class, as well as evaluated and graded take home tests.
I believe being imaginative creates a culture of enhanced learning. It is my goal and dream to produce a classroom where all students receive the necessary high quality curriculum in a creative, engaging, and fun classroom environment. My student’s successes are my successes.

In judging my suitability, it should be noted that I am a charismatic and confident teacher. I am secure in leading instruction in a classroom and my outgoing personality allows me to work well with a team of educators. I am proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. SMART Board Lesson Development and other modern classroom technology are tools that I incorporate daily in my lessons. In addition, I have had the opportunity to work with diverse classroom technologies while utilizing Project Based Learning (PBL). I aim to continue to educate myself on the most up-to-date technology and how it can be used positively in the classroom. I am eager to learn new ways of using technology.
