Both my wife and I became Special Education teachers after our subsequent lay-offs during the last economic recession. Our lay-offs forced us to reevaluate our professions, and take stock of who, and what, we wanted to be. This evaluation quickly led us to the field of teaching, and to the specialty of teaching those with remarkable traits, happy hearts, and passionate minds. This second chance at life has given us great joy, and will continue to do so for many, many years to come.

Both my wife and I are creators. We love to create new and original lessons and games. Our teaching methodology is to try and include as many points of instruction into a lesson as possible. For example: A simple tally lesson will include points of history or social studies, and reading comprehension skills.We do this incorporation to help maintain a students interest, and to give them as much knowledge as possible in the little time that is available to us. It also helps in cross-curricular studies by tying lessons together. We strive constantly to create highly engaging, interactive, and comprehensive lessons that keep students focused while having fun.

The reason we have chosen to sell on Teachers Pay Teachers is to raise more money for our students. The money made from this site will go to help our students with their transition services and general education costs that go beyond our combined budgets. Helping them to gain better advantages in their post-secondary life, is what we strive for each and every day.
