When I teach something I always associate the subject I am teaching with real life situation. For example if I'm teaching fractions I always start with the concept of whole numbers of something familiar for children; one pizza or one box of 12 eggs or one watermelon that is going to be shared by 8 persons. After that children immediately understand that a fraction is a piece of something whole that is going to be shared.

I was born and educated in Santiago, Chile. I studied at Technical University in Santiago. IBM World Trade Corporation, in Chile, hired me and trained me to be a Customer Engineer to take care of their equipment and the new computers of those days. I worked 15 years for IBM and when I retired to immigrate to USA I was already a Senior Customer Engineer. Here in America after going to college I became a Microsoft Certified System Engineer. I have at Teacher Credential in Information Technology. Also I got a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering at Belford University in Texas.
I love to travel and enjoy nature. I have visited many places like the Gran Canyon, Monument Valley, Niagara Falls, Yosemite and the Golden Gate in the beautiful San Francisco. In South America I have traveled all around Chile, Argentina and Peru Including Machu Pichu. I have also visited briefly Brazil, Uruguay, Ecuador and Colombia. I can fix almost anything, starting with my truck; I have never need assistance to fix all the machines at home; now that I'm too old to get under my car I rather fix computers and light devices.
