A mother of 6 and grandmother of 21, I continue to use my family as an observation and testing zone. Many of my grandchildren are homeschooled. One daughter (a physician) and I have been closely collaborating to design, develop and test software for use in schools and for homeschoolers. We have spoken at NCTM conferences and local homeschool workshops. Now, Dr. Chacko and her children have produced their own software as well as instructional homeschool materials, medical and patient education. She and 3 of the oldest boys are now maintaining the website, www.senari.com. Her oldest son is in Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M, the second is a National Merit Scholar finalist and has been accepted at Westpoint for the coming school year, and the third is in highschool. They have taken and passed CLEP tests to help defray their future college expenses. The other 4 children span the primary through Jr HS level providing ideas for ongoing development as well as product testing.
