I am a passionate, dedicated teacher with over fifteen years’ experience shepherding young learners and enabling them to achieve their potential.I have a proven track record of creating a safe, inspiring environment in which children can thrive. My commitment to growing well rounded, adjusted children has shone through in every year of my teaching career.
I am a teacher, a facilitator. I use the 5 e's in my classroom, Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate and Evaluate. I always try to maintain a positive, loving, happy and fun atmosphere in my classroom, always lead by example, remembering that each learner is an individual. I love asking open ended questions and encourage my learners to think for themselves.
My commitment to Academic Excellence, sharpened at the University of Pretoria, where I was awarded the Chancellor’s Medal for academic excellence and obtained my Bachelor of Education degree with distinction, has informed my teaching philosophy that every child has the potential for excellence and my dedication to making that a reality for every child. I also have my Honors in Biblical and Religious Studies, also obtained with distinction.
