Now in my eleventh year of teaching, I am continually amazed at how different every student is and how much I still love it! I am a former fifth grade teacher for about nine years, but have been teaching second grade bilingual for a year at Joliet Public Schools, opening my eyes to a whole new set of children's literature!
Probably the biggest buzzword in education today is differentiation...and my teaching style is just that! My focus (and products) gear towards meeting the needs of very diverse learners and challenging them at their level. Also, as a bilingual teacher, my material is heavily vocabulary based- but most importantly, vocabulary through context. Everything I do through every subject area is meant to teach self-motivation and inspire creativity.

I quite obviously LOVE and ADORE children's literature. Resources will continually be put up for different novels that I love- but am always looking for fresh ideas! Please e-mail me with suggestions and great children's books that you have read!
