TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Hello, Teacher Friend! My name is Sara! I am currently an elementary reading teacher and TPT author. I graduated with a Bachelors in Elementary Education with ELL and Reading Endorsement. I taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 6th grades. I have worked in a self-contained classroom, teaching all core subjects, but currently, I am happily departmentalized in the Reading Department. I am so happy to be able to share with other teachers the resources that I have created to make teaching fun, engaging, and bearable! Because, let’s be real, teaching is hard! But... we were born to do this!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am all about my students. I am in the classroom because of them and for them. Teaching in my classroom is student-centered, engaging, fun, and authentic. I believe in data-driven instruction, but I also always take into consideration student direct and indirect feedback to make learning relevant to their needs. Lastly, I teach from the heart, remembering that my students are humans just like me who need someone who loves them, believes in them, and encourages them to be their best!
