Rachel Jeffrey is a Broadcasting Teacher and Technology Specialist who works with both students and staff at Skyview Middle School. She helps her students write, film, edit, and produce segments for Skyview’s weekly news broadcast while also supporting the staff in implementing technology in their classroom with their students. After seventeen years of teaching, Rachel knows the impact that technology has on building students’ critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration skills. She piloted a 1:1 iPad team at Skyview before moving into the Technology Specialist position. Rachel is a certified Google Trainer and also holds certifications from Apple, EdTechTeam, EdPuzzle, Newsela, and Screencastify. She is also a DBQ Project trainer and a teacher mentor at Skyview. Rachel holds an M.Ed in Learning and Technology from Western Governors University and a BA in History from Luther College. Rachel is an amateur photographer and avid reader from Colorado Springs.
