A day in my classroom: - Have a fun do-now that will get the kids thinking outside of the box (one that relates to your lesson for the day) - Have 10 minutes of solid direct instruction (should be a review of content already taught or introducing new material that the students will be learning) - Model your expectations for the activity or lesson for the day - Have the students work in groups on the activity demonstrating that they understand the lesson content and standards being presented - Come back together as a group and close on the lesson/activity - Give students an exit ticket question that pertains to what they have learned to test how many students have achieved full success and whether or not the lesson needs to be retaught
