Hello! I'm a veteran teacher based out of Central Florida. I have taught U.S. History, World History, Economics, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, 6th-8th Grade Math, and Special Education classes. I love history and feel that in order to be successful in the future students must understand the past. I also love Math and feel that students must have foundational skills in order to be successful. Many of my teaching years have been spent being in a co-teaching classroom environment - sometimes being the general education teacher and sometimes being the ESE teacher!

I also understand and am passionate about the importance of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and integrating practices to teach and guide students to take care of their mental health. I believe in a compassionate approach to teaching and meeting the student or group of students where they are at and bringing them up. I strongly believe in the "I DO" then "WE DO" then "YOU DO" approach when giving direct instruction. I believe strongly in foundational skills and re-teaching when necessary.

While I am passionate about promoting mental health for students I have no background in mental healthcare. I am not in any way a licensed mental health counselor or social worker. While my products can be useful in a classroom setting and are designed by a licensed teacher to work well in a classroom setting they should not replace professional mental healthcare.
