During my 30 years in education, I spent over 12 years in elementary as a first grade teacher, 5th grade teacher and elementary librarian. I worked at the district level training teachers to use instructional technology for 9 year. My last 11 years have been served as a middle school librarian. I love being in the library. It truly is my happy place. From helping students find that perfect book, to creating things in our makerspace, there is never a dull moment!
I truly believe students learn by doing, so most of my lessons are very hands on. I love helping students create something for themselves. It can be a green screen video, a project to print on our 3D printer or wiring an Arduino. I love to see what students can create when they are given the chance.
