I have been teaching in a public school for 13 years, six of those years in kindergarten and now I'm teaching Pre-K. I love teaching the foundations and seeing their smiling faces when they learn new things. I am able to help build a strong educational foundation for these precious gifts! I think of my cutie pies as miniature adults. They are able to learn so fast and are able to do lots more than I expected. I love making center/station activities that reinforce learning and help them become self-sufficient. I have been told that my lessons are creative, so I thought I would start to share them with others. If you have a special request for a certain lesson, please feel free to contact me. I will be happy to make things per special requests.

I love using Dr. Seuss books to help with my teaching strategies. If Dr. Seuss made it, I must have it!! All of the decorations and accessories are all Seuss related. I love having a theme that carries out through everything we do. The class loves it when I read a Seuss book. They love pointing out the rhyming words. We all dressed as a different Seuss characters on Book Character Day. As the good Doctor said......... "From here to there, funny things are everywhere!" That is how I would describe my teaching style, my attitude, and my classroom. You just never know what kind of fun we will have from day to day. It is a new experience daily!

I love to travel. My 90 year old daddy, his little bitty dog, Gizmo and I used to travel when we have breaks from school. We loved shopping resale shops and garage sales to find things I can use in the classroom. Sometimes on our long travels, we come up with ideas for new activities. We now keep paper and pen handy so I can write down the ideas and then share them with all of you! :) My hobbies include photography, painting, organizing, and creating products to use in my room and share with others.
