TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Hey there! My name is Leigh Langton. I am a general classroom teacher who has been teaching since 2007. The majority of my teaching experience is in 2nd and 3rd grade, although I've dabbled in teaching grades Kindergarten through 5th grade. Teaching is truly my passion and I am thankful that I am able to share that passion with others. In addition to teaching, I've worked as the Professional Development Coordinator. Through this role, I was able to inspire and teach educators! This job roll included planning and scheduling Professional Development opportunities for the teachers at my school. I also was able to deliver Professional Development workshops focused on Teaching Economically Disadvantaged Students, Grading Policies, Working in a Professional Learning Community and Technology.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Teaching is a craft that is honed over many years of experience. An educator's teaching style should always be evolving and growing, just like the students that pass through their rooms. I would describe my current teaching style as hands on, visual, and standards focused. But most of all, FUN! I love it when student's talk about how much "fun" they are having WHILE they are learning!
