I am bilingual/bicultural ASHA certified speech-language pathologist, as well as a board certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBHWC), a yoga teacher, and a longtime mindfulness practitioner. I have been working with children, young adults, and adults in various educational roles and settings since 2001, including as a public school based speech pathologist, a yoga teacher, and a health and wellness coach. Accepting that I (as do my students) have a varied range of interests, I enjoy creating resources that utilize the full expression of my skills, from communication to wellness, for the benefit of those working in education.
I enjoy multidisciplinary teaching, narrative-based teaching, and teaching that acknowledges that our human connection we share is as important as the content taught.
It's a great honor to share my work with you :-). I hope it benefits you in some way.
I have a masters degree in speech-language pathology from the University of Washington, a board certification in health and wellness coaching, a yoga teaching certification, and over 20 years of training and practice in the area of mindfulness and self-compassion. Additionally, I have college-level training in the areas design and music.
