I have been teaching middle school Science for over 14 years.
As a teacher, I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for all of my students. Through my actions, personality and engaging lessons, I wish to lead the students in a direction where they will become independent 21st century learners. Within my lessons, I hope the students will learn necessary skills that will transcend the classroom, such as collaboration, communication, critical thinking, creativity, problem solving and inquiry. First and foremost, I love building relationships with my students. I believe that until a relationship is developed, learning is near impossible. I also enjoy learning about the latest developments in education, and then implementing them into my classroom. I love planning for my classes and seeing the growth in the students when the lessons are brought to life.
