TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have over 25 years of experience writing space-based curriculum for students, teachers and astronauts. SCHOOL DISTRICT: 5th-7th Science Gifted; District Curriculum Writing Team. NASA VISITOR CENTER: PreK-12 Camps, PreK-University School Programs, Scouts, Professional Development. NASA's Johnson Space Center: Instructor for astronauts, flight surgeons and mission control specialists. School Outreach Coordinator. CONFERENCES: Speaker at state and international venues including the Conference for the Advancement of Science Teaching and Space Exploration Educators Conference.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Hands-on, cross-curricular and FUN! Students learn best when they don't even know they are learning. I use space to teach in order to educate, excite and inspire! I'm also a big believer of having lots of background information when teaching, so every lesson I create will have everything you need to be the subject matter expert!
