TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been an educator at the middle school level for 29 years. During that time, I have taught the subjects of ELA for 29 years, World History for 10 years, and Woodshop for 20 years. In addition, I taught Adult Education for 3 years, and Alternative Education both on-line and in-person at the high school level for 3 years. For the past 5 years, I have also been a part-time, adjunct English professor at a local college. My wife is also contributing to this page. She has been in education over a decade. Her experience includes High School Alternative Education administrator, High School Alternative Education teacher, Elementary Title 1 teacher, and a 3rd-5th grade teacher.

For the last 18 years in a row, have scored at the highest educator evaluation level in Michigan at "highly effective." Finalist for the VFW Michigan Teacher of the Year for 2022-2023 school year.
