Classifying Angles Self-Guided Lesson (CRT)
This self-guided lesson allows students to explore classifying angles. A real-world connection is made with tattoo art. Additionally, a culturally-responsive connection is made to the census and our society's classification of people. Students are more likely to retain information when there is a real world connection. My students loved working on this in groups; it was fascinating to hear their reactions to classifying individuals for the purpose of a census.

These worksheets can be used to review Geometry before starting the geometry unit with Middle School 7th graders or 8th graders. It covers Graphing and plotting points, Properties of angles (Complementary and Supplementary), Properties of squares and rectangles and proportional relationships and ratios.
