This self-guided lesson allows students to explore classifying angles. A real-world connection is made with tattoo art. Additionally, a culturally-responsive connection is made to the census and our society's classification of people. Students are more likely to retain information when there is a real world connection. My students loved working on this in groups; it was fascinating to hear their reactions to classifying individuals for the purpose of a census.

These worksheets can be used to review Geometry before starting the geometry unit with Middle School 7th graders or 8th graders.
