Bones, Muscles, Ligaments and Tendons - A Chicken Wing Dissection and Mount
Chicken wings can be found at most grocery stores. They make an excellent beginning dissection project for a study of bones, muscles, ligaments, tendons and cartilage. After dissection the chicken wing is used by the student to create a bone mount. The activity provides directions for the dissection and the mount, and requires the student to provide thoughtful answers during the dissection.
