Bilingual Nature Measurements(Customary)/Medidas de naturaleza
Equip each student with this booklet, measuring tape or a ruler, and a set of measurements (inches and feet). Then take them outside for a short scavenger hunt (15, 20, or 30 minutes--depending on the grade) where students can practice measuring nature just like real scientists.
Younger students can measure objects 6 units or less and color in that number of rectangles (similar to graphing), while older students should be encouraged to write the names of the objects they measure.
