The ABC's of the Oceans can be used as a pre-activity for a unit on Oceanography. I like to use it at the beginning of our "Studying the Oceans" unit. In this activity, the 5 oceans are given 5 or 6 letters of the alphabet and students have to research each ocean to find facts that correspond to the specific letters that are assigned to each ocean.
