Hello My fellow teachers,
You can use these phonics song as an opener to the vowel-r combination sounds. I like to write the songs on chart paper and post them on my phonics wall in my classroom. Then each morning my class and I, sing the songs and review spelling patterns. You can also send the songs home and have students add words to the lists.

UE and EW Phonics Chant
Use this chant/song to teach the CVV patterns UE and EW. You can print it out as a poster and use it for shared reading, or you can print a copy out for each student. My students love phonics chants and it really helps to reinforce the patterns.
What Does the Vowel Digraph Say?
The file is an Adobe Reader pdf file of lyrics for the viral video sensation tune ("What Does the Fox Say?" by Ylvis) that my students were singing, only rewritten for vowel digraphs. I do not know what a fox says as I have never spoken to one, but I want my students to know what vowel digraphs say so that they can read as fluently as if they were just talking!
