Let's Sort Measurable Attributes: An Activeboard Math Center Activity (K.MD.1)
This is a math center designed to practice measurable attributes. It can be used as a board center, or also printed out for seat center work. It aligns with the Common Core (K.MD.1). Using rulers
This activity is one I created for my little guys to introduce the concept of using a ruler. Each page has a ruler and an object already placed on it as well as a line to reference where the child should be looking to find out how long it is. When a student selects the correct number (for its placement on the ruler) it has a reinforcing sound. It ends with a few pages of "which one is the longest/shortest" to help reinforce the topic.

Money - penny, nickel, dime and quarter .
Introducing the penny, nickel dime and quarter in an interactive and engaging way. Each coin introduction included a math talk here a quick image is shown and the children turn and talk to a partner about what they see or notice. It is then followed up by an interactive activity. Each coin is a weeks worth of slides to be covered over a month period to work on one coin a week.

Telling Time
This ActivInspire flip-chart helps students practice telling time to the hour and half hour, as well as every 5 minutes. Students are provided opportunities to write in the time on a clock, and match analog clocks with their digital times. They also have the chance to fill in the minutes on the clock for every 5 minutes. Students will love coming up to the board to show their time-telling skills!

This ActivInspire flip-chart helps students not only identify different coins, but also provides them opportunities to count sets of coins as well. Students will enjoy coming up to the board to sort the coins in to the appropriate columns, creating different amounts of money using coins, and learning new poems about pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters!

Learning about coins
This interactive whiteboard lesson is great for students in K through 2, or in a special needs classroom setting. Students can count, sort and learn about pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters. Pages are interactive to engage student participation. Sort by coin, amount, size and color. Determine how much. Learn to count by 1's, 5's, 10's, and 25.
