This is a science unit that I made to introduce Buoyancy to my first graders. The presentation includes: - What is buoyancy? - Intro. of molecules - Intro. of density - Links to ASL signs - Links to videos about buoyancy The student workbook consists of tables that they can fill out as they experiment with every-day objects to see if they sink or float. My kids loved doing this unit and we supplemented with other experiments like building foil boats and weighing them down with pennies.
