Read-to-Self Checklists, Sticker Charts, and Weekly Logs!
Read-to-Self checklists to support independence during independent reading. Simply laminate the checklists and have students monitor their reading by using a dry-erase marker. You can use the sticker chart as an incentive to motivate students during independent reading. Track student progress using the weekly Read-to-Self log. Reading Intervention Progress Notes PreA-level I
I use these progress notes quarterly to show growth in the area of reading. It includes word reading and word spelling by level. It starts with letter sounds and names and then moves on to levels A-I. Make a copy for each student and highlight the words as they master them. I also added a guide of where students should be based on the school year at Shakopee Public Schools in Minnesota. Double check your own district to see if the guide needs modification.
