What educators are saying

This novel study was really good and got my students thinking about the book! It helped keep them on track with their reading and we were able to practice and discuss many skills throughout.

Description

This unit was designed specifically to align to the common core standards and comes with and without the GATE depth and complexity symbols. Complete with an introductory ppt presentation, novel study pages, section quizzes, a final project, and essay options for every type of writing.

This novel is a beautiful story of Malala, a young girl shot by the Taliban for standing up for education. It handles a sensitive topic beautifully and is an eye-opening, mind-expanding novel absolutely critical for a global citizen to experience. This unit includes:

*12 pages (back to back, for a total of 24) of novel study
*Novel study pages for download available both with and without depth and complexity symbols
*5 section quizzes- one for each section of the novel
*Section quiz answer keys (for multiple choice questions)
*A final project outline
*Final essay prompts- one for each type of writing (opinion, persuasive, narrative, informative)

This is my absolute favorite novel to read with my class each year and I hope that you and your students get as much out of it as we always do!
