I started as a 1:1 aide while finishing my master's in special education. I worked up to a TA and finally an EI special education teacher for children with Autism. I decided that I loved the field of ABA and went for my BCBA. I completed my experience hours in several settings including a clinic and day hab. I was a consultant teacher before becoming a behavior specialist. I work across several school districts providing consults, working with students, and training staff. I love special education and creating things to help students succeed.
Working with students with emotional behavior disorders as well as developmental disabilities I love creating materials that help them access the curriculum. Explicit instruction and using the format of Instruction, Model, Rehearsal, Feedback is how I believe students learn best, with academic skills and social skills.
