• 20 years teaching experience. I taught 2nd and 5th grade in New Jersey and undergraduate classes for Early Childhood Education at the University of Memphis. • I've written 21 books for Scholastic Teaching Resources that focus on creative teaching ideas. • I've written two plays for young audiences, published by Dramatic Publishing, entitled Aesop's Fable-ous Christmas Tree and Aesop's Fable-ous Barnyard Bash. (Check out my YouTube videos from the productions.) • And I've written a dozen articles for Instructor Magazine. • I am now devoted to curriculum development.
I am all about hands-on teaching activities that tap into the multiple intelligences in any given classroom. My projects address linguistic, visual, aural, and kinesthetic learning styles.
• My Scholastic books have sold nearly one million copies. • As a Resident Company Member at Playhouse on the Square I have received numerous nominations and awards as an actor, director, and scenic designer.
• BA from the University of New Orleans • Masters of Education from Rutgers University in New Jersey.
I wear many hats in my professional life--as a writer, a teacher, an actor and a mosaic artist. To see examples of my mosaic artwork, visit and like my Facebook page called GravoisFare. You can email me at gravois@comcast.net.
