I have taught in the classroom for 35 years in grades PreK, Kindergarten, first, second, fifth and sixth. I left the classroom to become the director and head teacher of a private daycare and now oversee two different centers and implementing the Creative Curriculum from Infants to PreK. My passion has always been to teach children to read and love working with struggling readers. Recently I have joined the Elementary Education Department at Pillar College in Newark, NJ as an adjunct professor. I am Orton Gillingham trained and hold a N.J Reading Specialist Cerificate.
My passion and desire is to teach to every child's needs and learning style. My classroom lessons are multi sensory, inquiry based and differentiated. I love a student centered classroom and tried to reach my goal in every grade that I have taught.
