in the MIDDLE of it all

I have taught most grades preK-8th in public and private schools, as well as a few college reading courses and private tutoring. I spent 5 years working exclusively with the Gifted and Talented population as a collaborative teacher in the general education classroom, and also in a GT school-within-a-school model. I also have experience as a collaborative ELL teacher servicing English Language students in grades 6-8, and spent a few years teaching ESL online to kids in China too! I've been in education professionally since 2009.

I believe that all students deserve access to curriculum that can meet them where they are and engage their interests, while pushing them to dig deeper and seek more complex understanding. I strive to create materials that will help busy teachers take the content that they are already using, and enhance the learning, thinking and output opportunities for ALL of the various types of learners in their classrooms. I do this through differentiated resources, suggestions and ideas. I inspire teachers to stop simply teaching "to the middle" (like I unfortunately used to do!) and leaving 2/3 of the class lost or disengaged, and get "in the middle of it all" with my middle school resources!
