TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught in both the private and public domains. Currently I am a teacher within a public school system and have been teaching in the same district for 13 years.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is one that involves a hands on approach. I make sure that I take part in every activity that I ask my students to take part in. This allows me to understand what they will be going through - the struggles - and to make sure that my lessons provide them with the necessary scaffolding in order to be highly successful.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

This past year my SGP was an 82 for language arts instruction.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a bachelor's degree in elementary education as well as a bachelors degree in psychology.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am constantly reading professional material to make sure that I am providing my students with best practices. I also attend seminars and professional development constantly in order to improve upon my techniques and to build my knowledge base.
