I have been teaching Kindergarten for 16 years in Queens, NY and before that I was a Substitute Teacher for two years gaining a lot of teaching experience in the same school I am in now. I love teaching and I love creating new things on the computer whenever I get an idea or can't find anything to use from researching websites.
I believe the best way to teach a Kindergartner is to take your time. They feel more comfortable when they aren't rushed and when they are given time to take in the information. As teachers, we want our kids to learn everything we teach them, some of them do and some take in as much as they are capable of understanding.
I have not received any rewards as of yet, however, I have been made Grade Leader for my grade three years in a row because I was good at keeping everyone organized and up-to-date.
I received my Bachelor's in English Language Arts and my Master's in Early Elementary Education at Hunter College in the city, as we New Yorkers call it, to everyone else its called Manhattan.
