I am just finishing up my 10th year as a teacher. I am notorious for jumping around to different schools and positions. I enjoy trying new things and finding the balance between teacher mom life. I have taught first grade for 5 years, third grade for 3 years, last year I took a K-5 Reading Specialist position. I enjoyed the break from the classroom, but I missed having my own classroom of learners. So this year, I am excited to go back into the classroom as a third grade teacher. It has been a while since I last taught third grade, but I'm ready for the challenge. I hope you will stay a while and join me on this new journey.
I am a huge believer in the importance of setting up strong classroom routines and management at the beginning of the school year. When students can become a partner in the leadership of the classroom and a strong classroom community is developed, magic happens with academics. Positive community sets stage for learning and growing to thrive.
