Currently she is as a Director of Content and Coaching for Literacy for an education nonprofit. Chae received her B.A.in English from the University of Houston and her M.Ed. in Instructional Leadership from Sam Houston State University. In March 2022, she founded Let Freedom Read in hopes of spreading her love of literacy.
Close Reading is my bread and butter in my teaching. Allowing students to peel back layers of a complex text over time equips students with the tools necessary to build their stamina through literal understanding, analysis, and the ability to go beyond the text.
