Graduate from OISE in Toronto, Ontario in 2012, I am currently taking a break from teaching full-time as I go back to school for Graphic Design, working as a supply teacher part-time. I've taught quite the variety of courses in English, Career Studies, Business, and World History in mainstream classrooms, summer school (both in-class and online), as well as for adults online ranging from Intermediate to Senior levels. My passion for teaching really lies in creating both organizational resources for myself and other teachers, as well as engaging activities and lessons for my students. I have recently decided to return to school for Graphic Design so that I can continue to pursue my interest in developing exciting educational resources for teachers and students.
I exercise a fairly laid-back and easy-going approach with my students while at the same time still maintaining myself as an approachable authority figure in the classroom. I've recently been teaching a lot of Career Planning courses which has allowed me to work more one-on-one with students to help them develop their own plans for their futures, which has allowed me the opportunity to make even more connections with my students.

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honours in English (Economics minor) from McMaster University, and my Bachelor of Education degree in Intermediate/Senior English and Economics from OISE | University of Toronto. Since then, I have completed several AQ course including Junior Division, Intermediate History, Teaching Students with Communication Needs - Learning Disabilities, and Guidance - Part 1. I am currently enrolled in the Fast-Track Graphic Design program at Mohawk College.
In the past, I have spent a lot of time scoring and preparing students for the OSSLT, and know the test inside-and-out having been deemed a high-validity scorer during both the years that I scored the test. This helps me a great deal when preparing students for this test because I know exactly what scorers will be looking for in the students' responses.
