TEACHING EXPERIENCE

My professional teaching experience includes pre-K, elementary grades first through fourth, and ESL. I've also instructed tutoring sessions, test prep, summer reading groups, piano lessons, and community service-learning opportunities. Really, every day is a new lesson learned and amazing hands-on learning experience.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is mostly structured with scaffolding and lots of review. I like to teach the individual student and differentiate my lessons based on students' interests and needs. Adding some fun or fresh projects is exciting for students and teachers! In addition, optimizing activities with digital components adds extra engagement to increase learning.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

My honorable teacher shining moment was when my school teaching team was picked as the top producing, best teaching team of the year. Another was being selected as Innovator of the Month and presenting back to school resources for a webinar workshop.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Master's degree in education from University of Central Florida, specializing in language arts with the ESOL endorsement. Bachelor's degree in elementary education from University of Central Florida.

I teach English while also creating my own lessons and curriculum, exercising, traveling, volunteering in the community, and caring for our pet poodle, Alvin.
