MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe that students learn through engagement; whether it is group work or individual work, the students are constantly engaged during hands on, thought-provoking activities. Vocabulary is always introduced and contextualized in Spanish. My students speak frequently in class and each lesson constantly scaffolds off of previous units and topics so the content stays fresh and used avidly. Grammar is always co-constructed with students. I don't necessarily tell my students what the grammar functions are up front, but rather give them the tools to determine what the rules are by themselves.
