I have taught for 17 years. I taught first and second grade for 14 years and have been a Library Media Specialist in a Pre-K through Second grade building for 3 years.

I feel like you must make a connection with your students to make a difference. I think children must be given grace every day because they have a lot on their little shoulders. I am also a mini lesson get down on the floor and get involved in the learning kind of teacher. Modeling expectations, showing passion, excitement for life and learning will draw your students in each and everyday!
