Much of my 24 years in education has been in third and fourth grade, with a short foray into middle school math - and back again!
My passion is empowering students to set goals, reach for them, and amaze themselves by doing more than they ever thought possible. I am a bit cluttered, but love organization. In my classroom there are high expectations and flexibility, structure and accountability ... but we love to have fun at the same time! Through humor and real conversations, we learn together not just academics, but how to be the best version of ourselves.

My education includes an MAT from Concordia University, a BA from Southern Oregon University, and my Professional Certification through Seattle Pacific University. Next stop, my EL Endorsement!!
My husband and 3 kids keep me on my toes! Finding the balance between "teacher life" and "mommy/wife life" is often tricky territory to navigate!! I also enjoy anything involving crafts, art projects, reading, and music to help me relax in those stolen moments by myself.
