TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Seven years of experience teaching. I taught in Puerto Rico English as a Second Language for 5th through 11th and all the grades in between. Currently teaching 7th grade Language Arts (for three years now).

MY TEACHING STYLE

All students are different and they learn differently--every group have their own personality. "Just implement and be consistent" that's my motto. I implement Kagan structures with the CHAMPS method but I am a highly compromised teacher lead style and facilitator. I break down everything in my lesson for full comprehension. I love the "AHA" moments in my students. I teach writing in steps "showing the mechanics of writing" made a huge difference in my students. I know there are tons of strategies out there waiting for me to implement, one at a time ;)

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Creative Award-- University of Puerto Rico Humacao. Published article about "Education and Technology Implementation in the Classroom" for the English Department-- Professional Development Project of the University of Puerto Rico.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

English Language Arts Secondary Level--University of Puerto Rico-Humacao

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am a full time teacher, wife and mother. I love writing, reading, seat arranging, ice cream, and donuts. Natural from Puerto Rico, moved to the sunshine state Florida in 2015.
