Who stole the cookies out of the cookie jar
give each student a cookie jar (the one with cookie monster on it) give each student 10 cookies (i used cookie crisp the cereal) use the big cookie jar as an example on the document camera. Cut slits in the big cookie jar so the number strips can slide to different numbers. you can use a dry marker to write a plus or minus and equal sign so you can use this activity for subtraction or addiction. you can also use this activity for times. after the activity they can eat their cookies.
