This lesson plan was designed to help students learn about some of the major themes of the Great Depression through music. Six songs have been carefully selected from the 1920s and 1930s. Background information is included for each song. Students are asked to complete a graphic organizer as they listen to each song. The worksheet will help students analyze the various problems different groups encountered in the Great Depression.
