American Sign Language is an effective teaching tool that can be used to enhance early literacy skills and a fun way to increase alphabet knowledge in young children.

American Sign Language Signing a Song
Let's make American Sign Language fun! It is very easy to keep students engaged when it comes to teaching ASL. With most High School students being obsessed with music, I thought it would be great to have them sign a song of their choice. Students usually already have headphones, so it makes the assignment that much easier. For this assignment, I told the student to sign about a minute and a half to two minutes of a song. The kids LOVED this!!
