Controversial Genetic Issues: Research & Debate
Students will research topics in genetics and conduct a formal debate. Students will be placed on teams to defend the pro or con side of a particular genetic topic. The stance that students will be defending, may not align with their personal beliefs. Ancient Greece: Debate Like a Greek Partner Project
This is one choice I offer students when we are in our project portion of our Ancient Greece unit. It is a great way to familiarize students with issues from Ancient Greece or introduce a modern topic while using the Greeks method of debate to gain support for each individual's viewpoint.
