Here is a listening chart for your students to follow along to while listening to Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's Flight of the Bumblebee. I have used it with my 1st grade students with great success to discuss the melodic themes and contour. Using a listening chart also makes it easy to assess the students. For example, you can ask if the little bees were loud or soft, short detached sounds or long connected ones, etc.
