Forces and Motion Test Review

This is a fun study game for middle to high school students. Students work on problems in groups. Teachers should keep a copy of all group questions, and have student come to show their work to answer them, they should have a separate set projected on the board. I have used an overhead camera with plastic sheet protectors, with the slides inside, so students can write directly on the question they are answering. Please let me know what you think about my materials! Feedback is always welcome,

Newton's Law Station Lab Activity

Students will rotate through 9 stations of Newton's Laws. Each station takes about 5-7 minutes, except for station 1 which is vocabulary. I usually leave this station in place for 2 rotations or do the station with the class as a whole before they begin the lab. Easy set up, no expensive equipment needed to get the concepts across.

8 cards using physics vocabulary. Great for small group stations or a warm up/exit ticket. I made multiple sets for my classroom and divided the class up into four groups to complete this activity. This is a great reinforcer of the vocabulary used in beginning level physics and a fun way for students to interact with each other! Google a free printable game board to use with the game board cards. In groups of no more than 4 have the cards cut up and face down on the table. As students draw from the top of the card deck they read the question at the top of the card to the person to their left. If the person can answer the question correctly on the first attempt they get to move the number of spaces listed on the card.
