TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am going into my 4th year of teaching in the math classroom! I have taught everything in high school math including Tech Math I, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Math I, Math II, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Statistics, Advanced Functions and Modeling.

MY TEACHING STYLE

When I first started teaching, I was doing 4-5 different preps with 7 classes a day while also in graduate school. I struggled with the fact that I did not have the time to plan out the "fun" things to make my teaching more interesting. However, now I have more time on my hands and so I am venturing into the world of the Interactive Notebooks! I am very excited to try out this new style and I already feel like this should have been my style all along.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Graduated Suma Cum Laude for my undergraduate and graduate degrees.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated from Appalachian State University in 2010 with a BS in Secondary Mathematics Education. In August 2014 I will have my Masters in Pure Mathematics from University of West Florida.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Aside from my love of mathematics, I also love cooking, crafts, my dog, cat and turtle, reading, and I love spending time with my family.
