Lucy Calkins Personal Narrative Rough Draft Packet

I use this for my Writer's Workshop based on the Lucy Calkins series. They way she was presenting the lessons did not work for me but I have found great sucess by using these packets.
Assign one page per day. That way the student can focus on one topic at a time. I take the time to conference with each student after they have completed them and make corrections on the paper.

This is a cute sequencing graphic organizer that I often use when my students are reading chapter books during reading groups. Usually my students focus on a chapter a week, and throughout the week we dissect the chapter. This is one tool to really map out and sequence events that may happen within that chapter. Students can write the different steps in the sequence, along with drawing a corresponding picture.
